Air BotswanaAn Alternative Way To Travel To Botswana
Air Botswana is the only local commercial airline in Botswana. The airline currently travels to six destinations. Two of which are international (Harare and Johannesburg) and the other four domestic (Gaborone, Francistown, Kasane and Maun) The majority of travellers that use the national airline are business travelers and tourists. However locals tend to love and dominate the Gaborone <-> Francistown route flight. What i love most about the airline...The aircrafts are not be big jumbo jets, they are much smaller actually. Infact the largest aircraft, a BAe 146 jet carries around 78 people. The benefit of that is that you tend to get extra special attention from the stewardess since they are so few people to attend! The food... My personal favorite is the biltong (beef jerky) they serve..., totally mouth watering, :-)...they don't serve it everyday though. The in-flight magazine ,PEOLWANE is a good read. The articles are always informative and do a good job at showcasing what Botswana has to offer for its visitors.
