Botswana Money

During the month of August 2009, the government of Botswana introduced a new family of Botswana money banknotes. ( The coins have remained unchanged...)

All The old notes (P10, P20, P50 and P100) have been upgraded and an additional P200 note has been added.

Features of the New P200 Note


The note is purple in color and in the front it has a picture of a woman (teacher) and two students. This symbolizes the importance of the youth and education as well as the role played by women in Botswana's economic development.

The back of the note has four Zebras at a waterhole ,which symbolizes the importance of wildlife in Botswana.
