Botswana Safari News - Issue 1 Week Beginning as at 26 Feb 2011

This is the first issue of the Botswana tourism and safari news and this weeks issues covers the Chobe area, so if you are planning a safari to the Chobe National Park anytime soon then maybe this weeks safari update might be helpful.

Enjoy...

During the last week of March i contacted my friend Godrey Mbeha who runs Fun Fun safaris in Kasane for some updates that might help you if you are visiting Botswana for a safari holiday soon; and here's all the information i received from him:

  • Despite the vegentation being high, you can still see some game, elephants and some lions.

  • The Chobe River is flooding a bit pushing to westside chobe which every year causes the floods we have in the Chobe west, which usually floods the Satau and Parakarungu roads.

  • This has currently created a very nice scenery looking over the Caprivi strip out stretching to Namibia

  • You can however still drive around the Chobe national park without any problems

  • The Savute road is currently ok since there are few rains in the area. There is lots of game in the Savute which are attracted by attracted by the nutritious grasses.

Remember that i received these updates during the last week of February so some things may have changed.

Keep an eye for the next update....
