Hotels in Ghanzi

Looking for a place to stay?....There are four main hotels in Ghanzi. Actually its one hotel, 2 lodges and a camp site.

Not much to choose from but they will more than cater for your needs, whether you want budget or luxury accommodation...

Located in the town of Ghanzi, this hotel is a perfect stop over on your way to Maun or to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.

It may not as quiet as the others because of its location however it more than makes up for that.

Ironically its largest benefit is its location. It offers quick access to the local supermarkets ,a bank and an ATM. So you can stock up of essentials or groceries on your overnight stop over.

Now this is a really special place. It is located on a very large game farm 5km from Ghanzi.The really cool thing about this place is that they actually have Game viewing within the lodge. So you can view wildlife at no extra cost, :-).

Since it is located 5kms from Ghanzi it provides a sense of privacy away from the town.

The luxury rooms are a bit pricey but they do offer camping at affordable rates.

Other bonuses include ,

• cocktail bar

You can even do your gift shopping at the curio shop!

This is by far my favorite of all hotels in Ghanzi.

Thakadu Bush Camp offers a true Kalahari adventure.It is located on its own private game reserve in bushman land.

Accommodation is offered in tents. Semi luxury and budget camping tents are available.

The camp offers tailor made safaris into the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.

Other activities available include,

• walking safaris in the bush(guided by a bushman)
• Both day and night game drives
• horseback safaris in the bush

I would recommend this place if you want to explore the Kalahari and learn more about the bushman of Botswana.

Khawa Safari Lodge is located only 2km from Ghanzi . It is a quiet place that offers semi luxury accommodation at reasonable rates. Camping is also an option.

What i loved most were the ostrich, turkey and peacock that roam free within the lodge ...!
Perfect for close range photography.
