The Maun Airport Guide
The Maun airport (code MUB) is the busiest in Botswana and also one of the busiest in Southern Africa. It is located about 5km from the town centre. The majority of the buildings close to the airport are owned by safari companies and they serve the thousands of tourists that use the airport when they visit Botswana. Shopping at the Airport The airport is housed in a double storey building. Upstairs is a restaurant, a post office and safari companies that offer scenic flights over the Okavango Delta. - Ground floor
Th ground floor is where to check-in and if you want to change your money to the local currency (Pula) there is also a bureau de change. There is an information kiosk run by the Botswana Tourism Board. If you need to rent out a car, find accommodation or tourist information while at the airport, these are the guys to check out. They have superb service and are very friendly. - Outside the Airport Building
You can also find a really cool curio shop / jewelry store just outside the airport doors.(see picture below)

If you have a bit of time , there is an awesome restaurant - Bon Arrivee - in the Natlee Centre, that's the big blue building opposite the airport. Their food is delicious and they offer a variety of beverages. Its a perfect place to refresh while waiting for your connecting flight. (Below:The Bon Arrivee Restaurant)

Airlines That Use the Airport - Air Botswana - operates flights between the the following destinations...
- Gaborone and Maun
- Kasane and Maun
- Johannesburg and Maun
- Air Namibia - has flights that travel between Maun and Windhoek
- South African Airways - has a daily jet that travels between Johannesburg to Maun.
- Private Air Charter Planes - operate flights from the airport to most of the top tourist destinations like the Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park(kasane) ,Kalahari, the Makgadikgadi and the Victoria falls.
